Our WiseBond™ Deep Pour™ 2:1 Epoxy is a premium commercial grade casting epoxy resin for woodworkers and artisans permitting 2¨ of epoxy depth in a single pour!
Why is pouring epoxy 2” thick important? Because using a deep casting epoxy that is specially formulated for the woodworking industry, will save you money, time and effort! There’s no need to pour 1/2”, 1/4” or less just to wait 24 hours for it to cure enough to add another layer of epoxy. No more sanding in between multiple batches of epoxy pours.
One single pour of 2 inches thick for an entire wood epoxy project will make your live edge river table experience a breeze!
WiseBond™ Deep Pour™ Epoxy cures to a crystal clear appearance or can be tinted with our powdered or liquid pigment colorants. This super clear casting epoxy is unmatched with exceptional clarity.
WiseBond™ Bar & Table Top 1:1 Epoxy is a self-leveling high-gloss finish epoxy to flood coat river tables, wood kitchen tables or any wood surface for a high level of see through transparency. Use on bar tops and countertops as well for a SUPER WET gloss layer with high shine, crystal clear transparency and durability. Our epoxy is UV stable for wood table flood coatings that will preserve your wood table, bring out the natural color of the wood and highlight the wood grain. WiseBond™ Bar & Table Top Epoxy can be used on wood and concrete countertops to create unique designs using our epoxy colorants. Let your imagination run wild by making faux granite or marble kitchen epoxy countertops. Add powdered or solid colorants to create artistic epoxy table top faux finishes that will amaze your friends and family.
Time is money! This epoxy sets up quickly and allows you to keep on track and on schedule building wooden tables and furniture. No need to wait 24 hours after sealing your wood edges. Woodworkers love quick setting epoxy to seal live-edges preventing bubbles during their deep pouring and river table builds.
Formulated from the same raw materials as our Deep Pour 2 inch single pour epoxy and super gloss Bar and Table Top Epoxy, it matches seamlessly and bonds flawlessly.
Quick Coat Seal can also fill small cracks and voids before flood coat resin application to prevent surface bubbles for a smoother topcoat. Let harden 2-3 hours before sanding cracks and voids. Porous substrates may need additional applications.
Epoxy resin, known by chemists as epoxides or polyepoxides, are polymers that can be chemically cross-linked with various hardening agents or "curatives" to create a solid material. Epoxy is basically a synthetic liquid that comes in two parts — a resin and a hardener. When you mix the two in a predetermined ratio, they cure into a very strong plastic with excellent adhesive properties.
Because epoxy cures through chemical reaction rather than drying, epoxy resin must be mixed just before it is used and there are various formulas of epoxy for different applications. Our Bar & Table Top 1:1 epoxy is meant for thin (1/8") pours and will cure relatively quickly. It is mixed in a 1:1 ratio which gives it the right balance of cure time and an acceptable amount of heat generated as it cures.
Our DEEP POUR 2:1 epoxy is meant for river tables and casting pours multiple inches thick. It is mixed in a 2:1 ratio and has a slightly longer cure time which keeps the heat generation within acceptable limits and prevents the cracking and shrinking problems inherent in many epoxy formulas when poured that deeply.
Once mixed, the clock starts ticking and the resin begins to cure and you must execute your project right away. You can't save leftover epoxy for later so having the correct amount mixed (or at least more than you need) is important.
Our handy epoxy calculator will allow you to estimate how much epoxy you need so you don't come up short!
