For Live-Edge Wood Slabs and Crack Filling

WiseBond® Quick Set Seal is a medium viscosity, fast setting epoxy designed to seal live-edge wood slabs and coating porous substrates as used for wood table building. Additionally, it is useful as a quick patching material to fill small cracks, voids and blemishes.

Time is money! This epoxy sets up quickly and allows you to keep on track and on schedule building wooden tables and furniture. No need to wait 24 hours after sealing your wood edges. Woodworkers love quick setting epoxy to seal live-edges preventing bubbles during their deep pouring and river table builds.

We do not offer samples of our products. Why not?
CAUTION! Only mix as much as needed in small batches. This quick setting epoxy has a very short pot life and unused epoxy will begin to overheat within 10-12 minutes when left in mixing containers. Do not allow extra unused epoxy to sit! Pour all unused epoxy onto a scrap piece of wood or piece of cardboard in a thin layer to prevent overheating.

Formulated from the same raw materials as our Deep Pour 2 inch single pour epoxy and super gloss Bar and Table Top Epoxy, it matches seamlessly and bonds flawlessly.

Quick Coat Seal can also fill small cracks and voids before flood coat resin application to prevent surface bubbles for a smoother topcoat. Let harden 2-3 hours before sanding cracks and voids. Porous substrates may need additional applications.

This 1:1 ratio kit includes 1 pint of A Resin and 1 pint of B Hardener of our fast setting wood epoxy. It has a 10-12 minute pot life and approximately a 15 minute work time. Don’t dilly-dally!

Surface Prep:  All wood surfaces must be clean and free of oil or dust before applying. Remove any grease or oil with acetone. A wire brush may be helpful to clean live-edge crevasses and wood grain.

Directions: Mix for 3 minutes with a mixing stick. Brush on live-edges with a small brush similar to a glue brush. (Do not use a foam brush as it may introduce small air bubbles during application.) Brush on a thin coat and allow to preferably cure hard to the touch (or very tacky) before applying additional seal coats. Let dry for 1 to 1-1/2 hours – hard to the touch - before pouring our WiseBond® Deep Pour epoxy. A fan or a heat gun may be used to speed up the dry time, if necessary.

Do not add any extra solvents or agents to the mixture to try and encourage a quicker cure. Quick Set Seal epoxy is not designed to accept these and you will end up with an epoxy resin that may not cure at all.

First project

Your sealer and big pour epoxy were fantastic and your staff answered what we’re probably silly questions from a first time user. The products worked flawlessly thanks for the help.

This epoxy is awesome!

This epoxy does just what the name says, it sets fast. I used it for the edges of my river table, I only had to wait for an hour and a half for it to be dry so I could use the WiseBond deep pour for the river part
